Idaho Frequently Asked Questions

We will send you detailed information about the Adventure in a Pre-Departure Packet once you register.

What is the weather going to be like?
In August, the average high and low temperatures are 80 degrees and 51 degrees Fahrenheit. So, be prepared for hot days with pleasant evenings. August and September are the least rainy months of the year.

Which time of the year is best to go there?
July and August are good months to be there as the days are hot and usually rain-free. The fall is also perfect in the area with warm days and little rain.

What is the best way to get to the Tour and where do we meet?
You should fly into Spokane International Airport, an excellent airport with few crowds and yet decent connections. We will meet you at 1:00 PM at the Spokane airport.

What should I do if I want to extend my vacation in the area?
You might consider spending an extra day in Spokane or Coeur d'Alene. However, if you have more time than that our top recommendation would be to rent a car and drive the short distance into western Montana, which has many activities and sights.

What ability level do I really need to be for this tour?
Idaho's Silver Country Adventure is rated for Advanced Beginners and up. The paths are mostly flat, with almost no hills except a few on the longer routes.

For what type of people would you recommend this trip?
We think any skater would absolutely love this trip. The skating is outstanding and being in northern Idaho feels like a true vacation away from the normal stresses of life. Since we have so much mileage available, this is a good trip for friends or couples who have different skating ability levels.
