Glacier National Park in the northern section of Montana is one of the premier national parks in the United States. In fact, it is known as the "Crown Jewel" of the Rocky Mountains and is a great place for a Family Adventure

We meet you in the morning on Day One in Whitefish, Montana, which is a very cool mountain town. We shuttle to Glacier National Park and start our adventure off right - with river rafting on Class III rapids down the scenic Middle Fork of the Flathead River.

The next four days we spend in and around this incredible park as we experiment with a variety of activities. We jump in canoes or kayaks and spend a day on the placid waters of Swiftcurrent Lake. We split into two groups to hike in the mountains. One group will take an easy three-mile hike near snowfields and rushing streams, while the other group takes on the challenge of ascending to one of Glacier's highest passes on a rugged trails. We also spend a morning horseback riding and have the option to learn to flyfish with a local expert, a true Montana sport!

You will have two Zephyr guides on this trip plus professional Glacier Park mountain guides on our hikes. These local guides are extremely knowledeable about the area's flora, fauna, and geography. You can plan to see wildflowers, big horned sheep, mountain goats, and perhaps even grizzly bear. Don't worry about the grizzlies! Bears mostly avoid groups of hikers.

Most importantly, we make sure everyone is having fun - kids and adults. This adventure is recommended for families with kids aged eight and up. For an outstanding vacation in one of nature's premier destinations, come join us in Glacier National Park!

Child Prices
For our Family Friendly Adventures, you pay only $1000 for kids aged 17 and under (determined as of the date of the trip) if they stay in a room with you.  If you require a separate room for your kids, the standard adult price applies.

Accommodations
We stay our first two nights in the Great Bear Lodge at The Resort at Glacier. The Great Bear Lodge opened in 2001 as the luxury hotel of the resort, the most centrally located facilities in the park. We then switch to a different area of the park and spend two nights at Lake McDonald Lodge in Glacier National Park. This historic lodge, nestled among the trees and on the Going-to-the-Sun road, is the perfect place to finish our adventure.
