Yellowstone! Established in 1872, this was the first land in the entire world set aside as a national park. It is still the premier gem of our national park system and features geysers, hot pots, mountains, lakes, wild animals, and a ton of activities for kids.

Our Yellowstone Multisport Adventure takes place in greater Yellowstone, which means it includes parts of nearby Montana as well. We begin our trip by meeting at the Billings Airport before shuttling directly to the nearby Stillwater River for an afternoon river raft trip, the perfect start to our adventure. This is Class II-III whitewater, which means no ability is required and it is fit for the whole family. After rafting, we head to Red Lodge, Zephyr Adventure's Montana home and one of the coolest small western towns you will ever see. That night we venture out to watch pig racing in the small town of Bear Creek.

The next morning we have a private tour of the Beartooth Nature Center, a home for injured animals, before driving into Yellowstone Park via the Beartooth Pass, one of the most scenic (and one of the highest, at nearly 11,000 feet) roads in the country! We spend two days in Yellowstone taking short hikes, seeing the geothermal wonders, watching for wildlife, and learning about the incredible wonders of this place. Naturally, we visit Old Faithful to see Yellowstone's most famous attraction - the regular eruption that will amaze even repeat visitors.

Our last night and day is spent just outside the Park at Chico Hot Springs Resort in the Paradise Valley of Montana. This is sure to be your family's favorite! We are right in the middle of horse country and we make use of their herd to saddle up and go for a ride. (Younger kids ride with the parents.) Afterwards, we can relax and play in the large natural hot springs pool for which the Resort is famous.

We recommend this trip for kids ages 5-14 and we will always provide age-appropriate activities each day.

Child Prices
For our Family Friendly Adventures, you pay only $1000 for kids if they stay in a room with you.  If you require a separate room for your kids, the standard price applies.

Accommodations
Our first night we spend at Chateau Rouge, a condominium style hotel perfect for families, located in Red Lodge, Montana. Our third and fourth nights are spent in Yellowstone itself, in the historic Canyon Lodge.  This mammoth log lodge is perfectly located and full of history. Our final night we stay in the Chico Hot Springs Resort, a wonderful getaway right outside the Park in Paradise Valley that is over 100 years old.
