Wine Tasting Chart

On our Wine Adventures, as on all our adventures, no experience is necessary and everything is optional. So how serious you are in tasting wines is up to you.

Having said that, we do find using a Wine Tasting Chart is an excellent idea. It helps you focus on each wine you taste and compare one wine to the next, even from day to day on our adventures.

We have developed a Wine Tasting Chart to help you do this. A few notes on this chart:

1) We see our chart as "the people's chart". It is easy to use and requires no knowledge of wine or familiarity with wine terms.
2) We have eliminated the standard category for "color" or "visual appeal". In our experience, most wine drinkers don't know what color a grape variety should be.
3) We give most of our points for taste. That, after all, is what is most important.
4) We use the standard 100-point system (actually a 50-100 point system) in use by many rating periodicals.
